How far is safe to let rear leaf springs de-arch. I have Ord's and they sit pretty flat at ride height. I have some bump stops that allow about 4 1/2 up travel, but by that time the springs are s shaped. Does that hurt the spring. I see many pics of trucks flexing, but rarely pics of the rear leafs when they are. Any advise is appreciated.

Talk to @Stephen he can tell you exactly how much bump travel to set, after all he designed them.

Edit.... how are they s shaped? Are the shackles binding?

I don't believe the shackles are binding, I guess I could pull a spring to find out. They
don't have much arch to begin with. It's the front part of the spring that has a weird bend
when its is flexing. It would be helpful to see pics of the rear springs from others when flexing

Low lift springs on these trucks definitely get into some gnarly looking reverse arches when the compress and they take it fine. A 52" rear spring is good for about 11" of total wheel travel and typically about 6" of compression from ride height. They'll look goofier when there is torque applied which is most of the time.

for shiggles I would pick up the truck WITH the rear tire and let it de-arch, then maybe see what shape the spring is in.
Agree, that does look goofy. My 56s don't look like that but then again it's a totally different spring.

With that size tire you're probably going to find a lot of wheel hop from spring wrap. Traction bar/bars are in order.
