Rear leaf spring gap.

Probably just old and well used. I look for cracks or spots where there is a bend or kink. Post up a pic of the whole spring. Same both sides?
Don't see anything, abnormal, for old springs.
hard to say, how do they ride? what are your plans for the truck? If money is no object or the rest of the truck is in great shape, yeah get some good quality springs. I see you have Bilstein's already so thats good.
Just about every leaf sprung vehicle I've had,have leafs with gaps like yours..
Nothing unusual or faulty about them in my opinion..
When all the leaves look flattened with no arch,and are touching each other 100% is when they are ready to start failing in my experience..

The gaps bring cooling air through the spring so can go hella fast over whoops? 
Actually the gaps are probably a good thing for reducing friction and preventing them from rusting together. A lot of new springs put teflon pads at the ends to eliminate the sliding friction and those force gaps between the leaves.
