My current set up is a D60/14bff w/ a 6" superlift springs. They ride like a tank.

what should I get for a 6" lift and change my springs to 56"? I would like it to be soft and have a lot more flex than I have right now. If I change the set up will I need to correct the pinion angle again?

Thank You.
Ernie

I really like my BDS springs. they ride nice. i have 8" in the front and 4" in the rear with the shackle flip. just my $0.02

for the back, you can do a shackle flip and a 2" tuff country ez ride springs.if you want to keep it 6". for the front, you can do 6" tuff country ez-ride springs, they ride real nice. or you can do 4" springs up front with a longer shackle...but then you have to angle your front pinion up again.6" tuff country ez-rides ride real nice anyways. o ya in the back, if you do a shackle flip, it will make your rear pinion go up and you might not even need shims like you have now to push it up.

a shackle flip and 4.5" (stock) shackle length will give you 4" of lift, then the 2" spring for the total of 6"...i believe the 6" shackle will give you about 1" of lift maybe a tiny bit more...like 1 1/2"

Why would you wana do that long of a shackle? id do the 4.5 shackle flip and a 2" spring that will net you a 6" lift. plus you can always add a zero rate

id go with the shackle flip with the 4.5" shackle and a 2" spring...if it does sag, you can just add in the zero rate.

i have diy's shackle flip in back to do away w/4'' block and 6'' shackles up front they give about 3/4-1'' lift...kert said the longer shackle wouldn't give much lift, but i needed them up front as stock length shackle had the spring eye against the frame... fyi..i have 12'' lift front spring...8'' rear w/ a flip

The longer shackle allows more flex and articulation w. longer springs. The HD 6" shackles from ORD or DIY4x are a good idea.

True to a point. if your only having a total of 6" lift like the guy stated then you dont want it to be all shackle it would ride like crap. thats why i said go with the 4" spring and 4.5" flip it will give you good flex and ride nice!

A 4" spring lift plus a 4" shackle flip, they don't make a 4.5" shackle flip to my knowledge, will give him 8" of lift. He wants 6" of lift. A 4" shackle flip and a 2" spring is what he should use.

I have the same setup as he does only Rough Country springs in the rear. I want it to ride alot smoother and flex better. If I went with a 4" shackle flip and a 2" Tuff Country spring would it be worth the $540? Will the ride and flex be that much better? Does anyone have pics of this setup?

Thanks,
Mike

ya, rough country is one of the stiffest springs you can buy, tuff country ez- rides are a totally different ride, almost stock ride with a 2" spring, they flex reeeal nice too.i think it would be worth the $540, but i dont have any pics of that setup...

I get what your saying. I think the saggy rear of a blazer could use the 1" lift provided by the 6" shackle in the back all the same. The total setup for 6" of lift would be 6" front TC or BDS springs and a 4" shackle flip, 2" lift 56" springs, and a 6"shackle. Not the cheapest way to go but a fairly effective one for ride and flex. Throw in some front HD (4.5) greasable front shackles if you want it to be even better.

Yeah sorry i was tired and meant to say 4" flip n 2" spring. Thought kert's was a 4.5"? I have a ord 4" flip and BDS 4" springs. that combo acctually only equals 7" so i added a 1" zero rate to even it out. I have 8" BDS springs in the front. now it looks level.
