So I SAS'd my K3500 and put in a 3" rear block and a Rough Country addaleaf. Needless to say it rides terrible. The addaleaf gave me 2.5" plus the 3" block so I need at least 5.5" of lift....probably 6 would make sit a little leveler. Now my dilema is what to do with the rear. I don't wheel this truck. I really thinking about ordering Tuff Country 5" rear springs for this truck but, I am choking on the price of them at the moment. I am seriously considering replacing the addaleaf with a bigger block but I have NEVER been fond of a block bigger than 4".

My question is does anyone have experience with the ride quality of the 88-98 tuff country rear springs?

Shackle flip?

Did you use a long add a leaf or a short one?

shackle flip for nice ride and 4" lift .

remove sh!ty add - a - leafs that make trucks ride so stiff.

then level it out with a zero rate.

I know off road design has flips for 88-up.

I think kirt at diy4x does also .

both have zero rates also .

It was the long add-a-leaf...and I know better as many trucks as I have built.

I thought about the shackle flip then using a zero rate to move the axle back....that would guarantee my ride quality.
