I am cutting out some rust in my 85 Jimmy and I’m wondering if there is a replacement pane for the area that the seat belt bolts to closest to the floor? I fear I’ll have to fab something. But wanted to ask. So imagine you’re sitting in the seat and your look down at the area that that seat belt strap bolts to. What’s this called? And where can I find it? Thanks!

Images of issue would be helpful

The parts you mentioned were discontinued by GM by 2000..... Mine were restored / refabricated when the floor was done 20;years ago.

Cheaper & to cleaner too fabricate than find used cut outs

The floor piece is mostly flat near the seat belt. There is the 90 degree bend and then a bend in the floor. Unless you find a rust free K5 this part should be easy to fabricate. Also B pillar uses thicker metal then the body panels. Yours is most likely rusted.

If you're talking about the area that I think you are, I had to rebuild that on both sides of my '85. As far as I know, that piece is not manufactured currently, so I had to fabricate it. I used 16g for most of it (which is noticeably thicker than the original panel), and 14g for the seat belt bolt reinforcement piece. I don't remember the sizes of the nuts I welded on (seat belt bolt and 2 bolts into the B pillar), so you will have to figure that out from your old piece and the bolts that go there, but that's easy to do. Below is a link to the post in my build thread with details on the shape of the panel, where it spot welds to, how I built it, and before/during/after pictures. Hope that helps!
