Just doing my scheduled oil and filter change today...and dammit that filter was awefully loose. I'm thinking that is likely the source of all the mess under my truck. I guess we'll see in the next few days. I wiped down as much of the oil from underneath and made double sure the new filter is on good and tight this time.

As a side note my swanky new 2 quart filter doesn't fit on my truck...the friggin exhaust is in the way. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif Nobody to blame for that but me...I pieced the exhaust together myself from the manifolds back last year. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Feels pretty good to have all my maintenance up to date.

Oil and filter done
Entire truck greased, 5 U-joints, 2 tie rod ends, 2 drag link ends, king pins upper and lower, slip joints on driveshafts...

New Racor and new 2 quart primary fuel filter.

Due for an air filter in a few months, might change it tomorrow anyways.

Coolant checked...full.

Don't feel bad about the oil filter. I believe that it's hard to fit a 2 quart filter on any 6.2L with even the stock exhaust. It's really close.

Well it's definitely a lot drier under there now. With as much oil under there as there was I still have the occasional drip, but I'm almost convinced it's just 'leftovers'. I'll keep wiping it down for a few more days and keep an eye on it I guess. <shrug>
