2~ Am i able to 2 sets of 6x9's? 2 on each side? my main question on that is, can i run 2 6x9s off 1 power line and not take away power etc....?
thanks guys

Running two pairs of 6x9's off one channel will lower the power. say you have a head unit that puts out 4x25 watts. you have 4 channels: RF(right front), LF, RR, LR (left rear)... each channel has 25 watts going to it. hooking up 2 6X9's to one channel, LR for e.g., will cut the power going to each... unless you ran them in series (or parallel??? i forgot) but then you may overload (ohms has something to do with that) the head unit. My suggestion is to just get a small 4 channel amp and decent 6x9's so it'd sound good. I have like a 7 year old (guessing) amp that is 2x30 watts and it fits behind the dash on top of the head unit... it actually doesn't sound too bad. I used to install higher end systems over the past couple summers but i forgot alot.

Have been stuck (once) as of 8/12/00

Confed, I just made up pannels for my 87 this weekend and installed a killer system. I cut the pannels out of 1/2" plywd then glued some carpet over them and stapled the back. It looks great. Make your speaker cut outs first. As for two 6x9 WHY? I have a set of infinity 6-1/2" front, infinity 6x9 in back, a 12" rockford sub and a Alpine 5 channel amp. I don't know if my ears could handle much more.........It cranks. If I get some pictures I'll post them, Good luck
By the way, it was a bitch but I tucked the pannels under the top lip and scewed them in from the front. added snap on screw cover caps to finish it off.
