Rear power door locks

The rear power door locks in my 1988 Suburban barely work. They barely lock or unlock the doors - the knob barely goes up and down and we end up having to manualy push it down or up. I replaced the solenoid on the passenger side and it made no improvement. The front locks work flawlessly.

The linkage from the solenoid to the lock button is more complicated than the front door design. So, I wonder if it is a bad design since the new solenoid made no improvement.

Any ideas here on what to do to make them work, or do we all have this problem ?

I don't have power door locks in the rear anymore. But my front doors had a similar problem.

I sprayed the linkage with "Jigalube" or something like that. It's a spray on graphite lubricant.

I sprayed all the linkages, and my windows worked finally, and the door locks work flawlessly.

Look for something like that. It dries up, and stays there. That way you don't have lube drippin' everywhere.

There is a relay under the dash, mounted on the pedal bracket I think, that is for the door locks. I think that is the culprit, mine do the same thing.
