I was wondering if there was a way to put shoulder strap seat belts for the rear seat of a 87k5. I would like to do this if there is a way. Was this ever an option? Thanks

Have you thought about putting a roll-cage inside? Then you could weld the attatchment points onto the cage and bolt up the belts. Just a thought.

It's not what you buy, it's what you build!

If you found a cap and rear seat from a 90 or so K5 you would have your wish. I have an 81 with a complete 1990 interior, which means the only functional seat belt in the rear is the center lap belt.

Hmmmmm roll cage

I had a 88 with rear seatbelts that go over the shoulders. It was fastened on top of the cargo rimm. You know, the flat chrome plate under the window. I think it used one of the original bolts that hold the top on. Then there was a slot on each top corner on the seat the seatbelt would be guided thru. The reel was at the window bolt I think. Dont remember exactly. But maybe I helped.
