OK so like a dummy I took the arm rest off the rear seat so I could get more stuff in the Blazer. Now I see I need the bolts that held them on. :doah:

Any one have a seat they are throwing away? I now know I needed the bolts to hold the seat together.:doah: Not sure what size they were. They had star heads in them.

They are the ones on the sides. Where could I get some for it.

When I make to PickNpull this weekend i'll pull every bolt out of a seat or two. pack em up and send em! PM me on Friday Morning. to remind me.

They are tapered seat heads too....i did the same, stole them off another seat.

If i still had my extra seat, they'd be yours.

I removed my arm rests years ago and threw them away along with the bolts and they did not hold my seat together.

Yea I remember thinking strange bolts at the time.

Have you folded it yet? I will try to get a picture today.

Yours is an 1989 different armrest.

I can look when I get back this weekend. I haven't had armrest on mine years. I redid mine seats the end of last year. I do have all the bolts, but tthe seat works fine without the bolts you are asking about.

Here is the problem......

Tapered is good, but...

less necessary than you might think. I had the same problem; I took out my backseat IOT store a bunch of treasure/crap and fix some ungodly rust back there. And yeah, I lost the damn bolts. Ya know what? They're a fairly standard SAE size.

I was stressing the tapered part, too, but with a little (not too much, really) patience, I made some regular old 5/8 (I think) Grade 8s work just fine.

Best of luck to you.

Those bolts are the same as the ones holding that are holding the hinge on the other half of the seat. Just be careful is easy to knock the nuts loose inside the seat and isvery hard to get a nut back on the bolt. It happened to me.

OH great I drove from Ohio and also did OWL Creek Pass and part of Black Bear road too. :doah: They must be knocked off by now. Closest auto parts yard to Ouray CO?

Can some one pull one and tell me what size they are???

If it's these bolts -

I just went and pulled them for you. they came from an 89 blazer rear seat. They looked identical to a seat from an 86 that was sitting in the parking lot of PnP. so I think these are the ones.
I got these three, plus the ones from the other side. plus the two on the bottom of each side of the seat.
for a total of 8.
PM me your address, and I'll get them out to you on friday morning.

:bow::bow: thank you, thank you, thank you :bow::bow::bow:

Bolts in the mail, should arrive by Tuesday at the latest. The guy at the USPS said probably Monday.

Thanks PM what I owe you and yes I insist on paying you some thing. Matt you stepped up and helped me when I screwed up.
