Rear seat compatibility

I just picked up a 91 Jimmy. The PO had the rear seat in his garage when it burned down.

Lucky for me, I found a matching rear seat in nice condition. Not knowing anything about compatbilty of rear seats between the years, I bought it.

Unlucky for me, when I got it home, it looks like the brackets for the seat and what is in the truck are different. I can drill into the body to mount the seat, but I'd rather not.

Can I find the newer brackets and bolt them to the seat or are they different?

I believe the seat is from an 87.

I dunno why GM would change the configuration, but it seems like I've heard that the K5's rear seat and Burb's 3rd row seat might be slightly different.

Was the seat in a K5 or Burb when you bought it, or just out of the vehicle completely?

Any pics would help, not that I would know, but anyone surfing thru might have more info.

I have a 87 and now an 85, if it ever stops raining I will try and get some pics of my rear seats for comparison.
