i know there was some info on installing the rear seats from a newer truck that have the integrated seat belts for 3 in the forum but can’t find and info?
This is the next project as I am picking up the seats shortly and would like to know what else I need to get since the floor brackets are not included..
I know Merrivks garage sells a floor brace option for this project but with shipping at over $400 I would like to try find a less expensive option.
Who has done this?
Thanks

Question is does the floor have the attach points for the fold and tumble factory rear seat? My 75 did not have the same points in the floor that the fold and tumble seat equipped k5's did. The full top 73-75's used the similar bolt in seat that the first gens did.

Thanks for info, will a stock set work on the blazer or do I need to get the universal?
Seems the stock sets can be found for $100 less

I never saw a stock set of brackets in the junk yard. If yours came with the brackets, I would use them. The set i got did not have them. The kit came with spacers you may need and grade 8 bolts, washers and lock nuts. It also came with measurements to space all the brackets. Costs have gone up on the kit since i bought mine, it was a lazy way out for me.

I bought some stock brackets but they wouldn’t work for me. The stickers need to be spaced up 1”-1.5” so the latch on the seat doesn’t hit the floor, this made the seat too tall for me. Tahoe’s have pockets in the floor.

All the solutions to put these seats in a square make the seat high.
Considering most of the time it will be kids back there I think it's worth it

I am going to make a set for someone who gave me plans from someone else.
I could post the drawing if anyone is interested. Pretty simple if you can weld

Yup for the kids or with the top off is fine for me sitting higher just want to fig out the cheapest option and if the stock brackets will work since I can get them on eBay for $50 rather than $169

:D:whistle:

Can you make 2 sets while ur at it I will pay for all materials to make them both

I think I'm going to make a ladder like frame from 1x2 rectangular tubing and bolt it to the seat with 1/4" plate, this will get the seat about as low as possible without it actually touching the floor (so I can rinse the bed out if dirty). Any higher anyone 5'6"+ would have their head too close to the cage.

This design is same except 2x2

Actually I am looking at it and if you must it can all be bolted together no need for welding.
Welding would be faster

I used the stock K5 seat hardware to mount a 2002 Suburban 3rd row directly to the floor, retaining the stock fold / tumble ability and keeping the seat a low as possible. Basically hacked up the stock K5 seat for the front hinges and rear latch and added them to the Suburban 3rd row.

I posted some photos of my setup here:
