Wondering what the general opinion is on this rear shackle angle I was thinking it should be closer to verticalCAM00128.jpg

was thinking of moving the bracket back so it was closer to vert and removing a leaf having enough issues with driveshaft without raising it more its why I didn't make it over the the dune fun on the weekend had to order a new flange for the sye so I go to the cardan joint setup

swap brackets left right is a trick also . maybe someone put them on backwards / wrong sides .

its a quick trick for 52 to 56 spring swap I know to swap sides with brackets.

when I redid my plow truck frame last year I moved mine ahead around 1" to give me a better ride since I don't haul much at all anymore and just dd/plow/play truck . the oem location with 56" springs gave me a straight up/down hard ride shackle angle.

that is the factory location and reversed the sides when I installed them with the 56s to move the point back like they said does ride real nice

they look reversed
and if you have 56s (sounds like you do) that's the proper way
but 56s also need a longer shackle to help with the angle. Swapping the brackets side to side is only half of the job when switching to 56s. I run a DIY4x 6" shackle out back with my ORD 4" lift brackets reversed side to side.

Best shot of my shackle flip, though I'm currently flexed.

Id leave them. I doubt you will get those springs to go fully flat, and even if you did, you would still be ok on the shackle.

^This. I run this exact same set up. You would probably be fine for a while, but with the angle that flat you could possibly invert the shackle. Just get some 6" shackles (ORD and DIY4x both make good ones) and it should be about perfect
