I have a 81 k10 sub that is lifted 3" in the front with tuff country springs and the rear is lifted 4" with a DIY4x shackle flip kit. I put a 14blt in the rear and have a 10blt front. I kinda just learned about using the shock towers out of a ford for the front which sounds cool and I am going to try, can I use the mounts on the axle or do they need moved. My question is there any thing I can do to my shocks in the rear. It is a 1ton rear so the spring mounts will not line up, so what I would like to do is use the shock mounts on the axle but I would like to put new mounts some how for the top with out any welding. Any ideas??

Click on my 88Silverado link below.
On that webpage you will see the Ferd Tower installation on the front and down towards the end of the page you will see the typical inboarding that can be done with "most" setups.
