i needed rear spring-rear main eye bushings after doing my DIY4x shackle flip. i needed them to have the .25" shoulders on them.

i ordered some bushings from kert at DIY4X, and they seem to be too large. my leaf springs are lift springs but i haven't a clue as to the brand.

the ones i got from kert are a 1.5" diameter bushing, but they don't fit.

if it helps any, the bushing i torched out of one of my springs was yellow and 1.25" diameter.

any insight is very appreciated at this point. im missing all the wheeling.

anyone maybe point me in right direction?

Is there a steel sleeve inside the eye, outside of the poly bushing? If so, you can remove this from the spring.

For what its worth, there are quite a few different factory size polys out there let alone the aftermarket springs.

1.375"
1.5"
Some metric bastardized"
1.75"

The only way to know what you need is to measure what ya got. Aftermarkets fall under the same measure first and see what you can find to fit. While most aftermarket springs will hold to one size, I wouldn't count on it always.

thanks for the info kert, there was no OD sleeve on the bushings i burned out.

closest measure of the spring eye diameter is 1-1/4" so im thinking maybe i need the 1.375"?

trying to sort through part numbers for superlift bushings would be costly after i ordered enough of the wrong junk..

are these bushings something you sell in a few sizes? if not, whose a good source?

Daystar is a good source. We just have the one size.

Are there any part numbers on the springs anywhere? If so post them up and someone will be able to tell you what brand of springs they are and possibly even give you a bushing part number.

some aftermarket springs like superlift, skyjacker use 1.5" and some like TC, RC use 1.25" (or vice versa)....read that somewhere yesterday when I was specing my lift to order

Vice versa.

Superlift and Skyjacker both use 1 1/8" bushings in their front springs.

All the other brands use 1.5" on the forward eye and 1 1/8" on the rearward eye.
