I want to lift my K5 6 inches, but can't decide if I will use a 6" spring lift or a shackle flip. The flip seems like the way to go, but I have no experience with them, and wonder if I will like the ride quality and handling characteristics. Any advise or opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

4" flip and 2" springs and 1" zero rate with new top plates to work with the zero rate and move the axle back 1" to recenter seems to be the ticket. and get rid of the saggy but blazer problem.

you will need a driveshaft and possible c/v unit for angle of shaft . also keep a eye on the pinion angle.

search here there is lots of info on this its been done a bunch.

if i did it over again... i would do shackle flip....

i have 10" rear leaf with factory block removed... not too rough.. but not like a caddy either.. :haha:

I have springs, and if I were to do it all over again, (which I am) 4 link and coilovers....:D

i just did this exact one. i took a drive shaft from an 82 blazer which had a auto and a 208 and it was 2 in longer than mine with a sm465 and 241 perfact match.:D
