has anyone made them for our trucks. I wanted to make one for my 78' K5 cause i dont wanna ditch my saw bars. I need some ideas for it. I was think just get some end links, cut em' weld on a bigger piece of tubing, so they slide, then just drill a hole for a pin. Does that sound like it would work?

its probaly aftermarket. The past 2 owners used it to pull campers.

I wll shoot some pic of it after school.

1 tons were the only C/K/R/V's to have factory sway bars, and not all of them at that.

As an edit, I tend to drive my truck pretty hard on the street, corners or not, and have never felt that a rear swaybar would help at all. Probably a hindrance more than anything, especially if you are talking about disconnects. Pull it, bet you don't notice much, unless you've got some weak springs in the back.

I really would rather not get rid of it, I daily drive more than i wheel. This thing haddles like a sports car, well as close as a fullsize truck is gonna get to being a sports car:haha:.

I Know it dont flex well, The front dont eithier. but ORD has the solution to that.

That's definitely an Addco swaybar. The end link angle leaves a bit to be desired and should be closer to 90degrees from the bar. that should help with bushing longevity. As for flex, yes it will definitely hinder and should be disconnected for offroad fun.

You really don't need the rear sway bar. I still have my front sway bar and it is plenty to cut body roll. I drive my truck on the street everyday and I take corners pretty fast sometimes with minimal body roll.

well i am gonna update you guys on this. I am gonna ditch it and if i dont like the way it feels i will put it back on and make some disconects.
