I really want to come up with some sort of sway bar set up for the rear of my rig since i have cross over for the front. I know there are mixed feeling on this but i just want one to help control sway as i do a lot of street driving. Of course i want it to be easy to disconnect for off road use so i am thinking of fabing one up, using one from another vehicle or buying and modding the one intended for the rear of these trucks.

I was hoping i could get you guys to post up(or direct me to) pictures of your setups or set ups you've seen ect so i can get some good ideas. Also comments or input about how to go about such things are always welcome.

I have searched with no prevail so any help will be greatful thanks

I've got that Hellwig on my '89. I'll snap a picture if you want.
It came with it on and it does make a difference on highway.
Don't know if you'd really notice it under 35 mph.

Ya! If you wouldn't mind snapping a few pics. I will most likely go that route if it is a simple bolt up but I'm not sure it will fit with the backbone and anti wrap kit I have

what are your front springs
I'm not sure what my front 2.5" lift springs are, but even without a sway bar in front and having bad shocks, the truck handles really well even at 70+

Currently I am running 63" rear leafs out of a newer 1500 or 2500 I was told and with seven in shackles. And up front 49" with 4" lift ez rides with stock shackles. Since putting in the 63" I feel I have a smoother ride but the combination of the stiffer springs up front I think makes the ride a little hairy in the corners. I plan on swapping 52" or 56" in the front to help ride quality but by that theory the sway bar will help the sway with the softer ride!

Sorry for the delay...got damn flu.
Here is picture of the rear setup. Couple of brackets, bushings and end links that tie into the frame. Simple but it works.
Would've got some better ones but wasn't really in the mood for crawling under it.

I have a complete factory rear sway bar I removed from a 3/4 ton service truck that you can have if you come pick it up. Before anyone says it's not correct it is for a 14ff with a 42.5" perch spacing (assuming and IIRC that Brian has a 14ff in his blazer).

Irish thanks for the pic! That's actually perfect I can tell it probably won't work as I have the DIY4X backbone kit on there.

Hey Scott dose the swaybar you have look just like the one Irish pictured could you post a picture of it?

Here are some pics. This bar bolts to some mounts that go under the axle and is held in place by the U-bolts. It may not be the ideal sway bar if you go wheeling alot and don't want to get hung up on stuff but it's free for the taking if you want it. Here's some pics of the bar and the brackets.
