I have a 1986 K1500 short bed with a SM465 and a NP208 and 10bolts. I'm getting ready to swap in a 14bff and 8lug front 10bolt and I have a U joint question. I've read that I will need a conversion U joint to go from 1310 to 1350, but I've also read that all 4 speed trucks came with 1350's in the back. Will I need a conversion joint or just a straight 1350? If I need a conversion is 1310 to 1350 the right one? I'd like to get the parts together before I pull the truck apart to measure.

Thanks
Chris

My 84 with an auto had the 3r series in it. If the clips are on the inside, they are 3r, outside they are 1310, 1330 or 1350.

my 465 1/2t burb had 1350s becouse the sticks are harder on u joints than autos
