i had a little wobble in the left rear tire after dirtyjim swapped in his rear end, and i had my buddys dad look at it, and said that it had a little more play in it than the other side, either that or it was a bent rim, well today i swapped on 31s, and checked it again and it still does it...any ideas?

hmm. i got the rear end from a member hear, and he said it was under warranty

swap one...

Can you swap in an axle from your old rear end in it??--its not that hard to do.....I'd fix it,a bent axle might wobble for years,or it might just snap too...why risk it?....

i say swap a shaft from your old housing bro.... are they the same spline or did dirty jim put a different center section in with the locker>?

It could be bearings, bent housing mabey
A bad bearing you would hear and feel, a bent housing won't cause wobble. Assuming this is a semi-floating axle it is most likely a bent axle shaft, bent wheel or improperly seated/mounted wheel.

not to be an ass but he said that it happened even after he swapped tires and rims. im guessin its the shaft.

could be. his buddy dropped the rear kinda hard when lowering the truck when i took the frame supports out and the wheels were on hand tight.

hmm, i am getting this grinding/howling/vibration noise, but its coming from the front(which is getting swapped soon), its almost the same noise the back one made before we swapped it out

well found the problem, looks like the axle may have been dropped on that side, looks warped, good thing the 10bolt still in the yard:D
