Okay so I finally came to the point where the rear window won't move. Sounds like its trying but it is stuck in the down position. Now I started looking for parts to get an estimate of the cost to replace and I find no window motors for it ANYWHERE....Now am I just crazy or does this rear window not have a motor? All i can find is the regulator. I am not real savvy on electrical/interior stuff so I am at a loss. Guess I need to pull it apart and look. Anyone can tell me where to find a motor?

Pull the rear panel off the tailgate. Window needs to be up, it's best (IMO) to do it with the gate shut, but you can also do it with the gate down, but the window needs supported and you better not flex the glass!

Anyways, once the panel is off, locate the drive cable. Undo the end from the motor, and turn it via a drill or by hand with vise grips or something that will allow you to turn the actual cable inside the sleeve. If the window moves, the motor is bad. If the cable binds, your problem isn't the motor. You can also operate the switch with the cable disconnected to make sure the motor is working right while your in there.

Doesn't sound like the switch that fails commonly to keep the window from moving with the gate down, as the motor shouldn't make any noise if it is.

if it is the motor, where would be the best place to get one. I can only find parts for a regulator and regulator transmission

Dealer, maybe somewhere like napaonline.com? lmctruck.com might as well.

I certainly wouldn't shell out the money without testing though. :)

True I am only going to put in whats broken but at the same time IF it is the motor I can't seem to find a replacement. I tried lmc, oreilly, advanced auto, autozone...all the usual suspects and nada, they only have a regulator for the rear. no motor mentioned. Guess I will have to move it over to manual if I can find one. (only if it is the broken piece)

Eh, go get one from the wrecking yard. They can be taken apart and inspected/cleaned/repaired.

Not a fan of manual windows, PITA when you don't want to leave the truck, need to replace parts to swap, and the crank handles are equally hard to get (unless they've been repro'd now) because they break.
