Hey Guys- I'm sure this has been talked about but i have a specific problem with my window-

The motor works and will go up, but at almost exactly the half way point it stops and wont go any further. Could something and moved and gotten in the way? I'm lost...

I'm away at college right now and need to fix this problem next week when I get home in order to have wheels for break.. Any help would be appreciated

its probly binding on the weather striping on the sides. mine does it whenever it gets cold. i got pissed the other night and ripped the seal out of mine and it goes up fine now. i just pulled the whole thing out and tore the lower sections out and just reinstalled the top so the window wont rattle going down the road.

It could be getting caught on the side weatherstripping as mentioned above, I use a small two by four piece to wedge in between the tailgate and my spare tire to properly align everything.

Another possibility that I've had to deal with is that the bottom of the glass is getting caught on the rear windor motor as it comes up. I ran into this when I put in a new motor. Easiest way to figure this out would be to open up the inside of the tailgate and get a buddy to open the window while you observe it. I solved my problem by attaching a curved piece of sheet metal to the motor so as to prevent it getting caught on the lower edge of the glass.

Good luck.

I keep a can of silicone spray lubricant in my truck and every winter I spray some in the weatherstip rails and a little in window motor cable to keep it working smoothly, if I don't it goes up and down very slowly.

Mine does this if I jam the 38" spare in the back. The spare pushes against the tailgate a little and causes it to get stuck. If I push in on the window while it is going up it will move.
