Rear window removal

So I just bought a 85 Blazer and want to remove the top but the rear window won't go down. Can I get the top ready to come off, lift it off and just remove the rear window?

Hmm.. that's tricky.. seems like it would be difficult to do that and not break the window.

Why not just disassemble the window mechanism so you can lower the glass?

Is corrosion what has made it stuck? Maybe you could get some penetrating lubricant and spray that around.. that might get it unstuck.

Get in the blazer, pop off the tailgate panel and look at whats jamming it. If its just the motor thats bad you can use a drill to roll down the window by taking the window's motor cable and putting it in the chuck and using the drill in reverse.

i wouldnt recomend trying to move top with window up, its pretty flimsy
