i have electric windows and i never drive with my rear down because i have no cats and even though the 93 smells good i get headaches. anywho, i had to get a pipe to build a bumper,it was long and i had to drive with it down, this is the first time in forever i actually drove with it down. and now it wont go back up. the motor is getting juice it just wont go up. it will move the window about a 16th of an inch. with help i kept hitting the switch and it slowly moved up with friends pulling up at the same time. it goes down but sounds pissed. and it worked fine 2 hours before that. could something be jammed/grinding? o ya i took off the plate and cant find anything that looks bad.:doah::mad:

Try putting some grease on the regulator's gears and some silicone spray lubricant on the weatherstrip rails. Mine use to do the same thing. I put a cordless drill on the cable drive and ran the window up and down several times after greasing up the regulator and the motor does fine now.

alright, ill try the silicon, i actually just did that to my pass window rails, thanks for the drill tricktoo , i never would have thought of that one.

thanks to ur drill trick i figured out it isnt getting stuck or anything its moving freely, but now its either my switch or wiring in the tailgate or the motor. i took out my multi meter and tested the connection under the tailpan they show perfect voltage. so i think i need a new switch or motor. thanks man!
