Rear window wont go down all the way

Just as it says the rear window goes down but stays up like 3 to 4 inchs ?

I assume this is for the 91 in your sig? If so remove the back panel of the tailgate. Get a saw horse or something to support the glass when you raise it.

There is the cutoff linkange at the bottom hooked to a spring. I think either the holding screw came loose or the spring. I can send a pic if needed. Do a search on it also. Someone just did a write up not too long ago.

the glass really goes all the way into the tail gate?? ive owned my blazer for 6 years and just though that it only goes down that far... like 3 inches left till its totally hidden

Mine did the same thing but I had mud packed in the bottom not allowing it to go down further

check the regulator drive cable if its twisted it wont let the window reg operate well

Ill check those things its on a 87 i just bought it and now the gate won't open either

thats a safety feature if the window wont go down the gate wont open take the interior panel off an see what you can do

Mine leaves about 2 inches up. But my crank is broken, so to keep it up I've got a screwdriver jamed into the regulator. To open I pull the screwdriver and wiggle it down.
