Does anyone know where I can get a new rear tail gate window switch (Dealer PN 14040844)? I've been told by a local dealer that this part is discontinued... I've tryed JC whitney, Summit and Rock Auto, Napa....ect. I'm also looking for the tail gate window support mechanism / assembly.... (this holds the rear window glass in place while the window travels up and down in the side guilds). Mine is rotted...

Any other ideas on how to repair / rig it to work

Shoot I just gave one away about 2 weeks ago, sorry man.
 
LMC will have just about everything you need for the window support. I just installed all of it a couple of weeks ago in my Blazer, and I purchased all of it from LMC. I think LMC has a switch too, but you have to look.
 
Somebody was pulling your leg. GM has them, $16 from GMpartsdirect, you'll probably receive a GM part. :)

Lazy counterperson, as is the norm. There are a few exceptions.
 
Does any one know where to find one of these switches now? Classsic does not have them anymore.
 
They don't show it that i saw. This part has been discontinued from GM so nobody seem to have any left.
 
thanks but that one is for an oldre model. I need the one for an '86
