Rearend

Any body know the proper way to install a complete rearend to a 93 k1500 blazer.
I.E. do you load the springs by jacking them in upward position or keep in upside down u shape before tightening u bolts to axle
Same question for replacing with same shocks.
When I replaced the rearend it changed the distance from the drum to the ground while jacked up by the frame had to jack up quite a bit more than with the old rear end to get tires back on. Plz advise

It really depends on what equipment you have available however most will use tall jack stands to support the frame so the axle can droop down and be removed.
