Rebuild 10 Bolt

WHAT would i need to convert a 28 spline to a 30 spline?? reason im asking is ihave a 10 bolt that blew the ring and pinion and spider gear but can only find 30 spline parts. thanks

the only difference is the side gears where the axle goes in them, AFAIK

If you have a 30 Spine diff. then you just need 30 spline axles. Done expect much more strength though...

yeah, if you don't have a 60, you don't have sh!t

yeah all you need for a 28 to 30 spline convert is the side spider gears and the new 30 spline axleshafts.

The hole is slightly bigger IIRC , where the side gears are . Pinion shaft the same , spiders the same , ring gears will interchange .

I own one of each spline front , 30 spline DD , 28 spline trail rig .


I actually know someone who replaced a 28 spline govloc , with a 30 spline open , and reused the old ring gear ....... wait it was you

so i have access to a the carrier with the ring in pinion and the spider gears and the axles all 30 spline. the reason i might go this way if it is feasable is i cant find a complete 10 bolt and dont want to upgrade to a 12 bolt because im proably selling it when it gets fixed. thanks so is there anything i need to get besides these parts?

going 12 bolt is not really an upgrade though, the upgrade on here anyways, is slappin in a Dana 60 under the front if thats what your replacing, or a 14bff for the rear.

the 12 bolt is almost the same as the 10, just a few minor differences.
