Have a 92 Dodge, its the tow vehicle, Getrag five speed is making some noise in 1-2 so rebuild it or do a NV4500 swap. Its eventually going into my 3x3 chevy not sure that that matters

If so Id try to get the NV4500. Ive never heard much good about those getrag transmissions.

had a chance to buy one of those getrags a while back for cheap. A good friend who had rebuilt both 4500s and those said don't even mess with it.
So does it matter which NV4500 I get ? Chevy, Dodge, Diesel or gas?
