Well Im New To The K5 World And I Have A 88 Gmc Sierra Classic Jimmy With The 5.7 Tbi 350....first What Are Yalls Opinions On The Tbi? Second How Much Would It Cost To Rebuild It? It Also Comes With A Sm 465 Again What Is Yalls Opinion On The Trans? And How Much Would It Cost To Rebuild That?

First off, you've come to the right place... everyone here will be able to lend a helping hand on your way to an offroad worthy rig...
As for the rebuild cost, I'd say somewhere in the range of 1500-2000, depending on the shop you take it to, and the effect of the build... if you want it rebuilt stock, then expect to pay around 1500... if you want a 320hp 400ft lb ground pounder, then expect to pay in the range of 2000. Of course if you plan to stroke it, add another 1000. The TBI is ok, but you might consider an aftermarket Throttle Body or a Tuned Port setup...
