Rebuilding / resealing a driver door? New seals made the problem worse!

The aftermarket door seals and the original door seals are nothing like the original. I have read that it is a common problem when installing aftermarket door seals that the door is difficult to close. Some have had to adjust the doors and other people after several months say the problem goes away. I was able to find some NOS GM door seals and they fit no issue on a 78 K5 Blazer.

It takes about two minutes to remove the window and regulator to do it correctly. One bolt (maybe 2, I forget) on the guide channel and 4 for the regulator.

Got any links?

The 8 piece kit that I bought was $79 with free shipping. If I could better parts without spending a ton, I would do it.

Yeah I am thinking there is either a problem with the channel felt, to thick maybe, or could possibly be bunched up somewhere.

I figure i will give it a week or two and if the problem remains, I will "notch" the outer felt. It will lose its "seal" but also reduce its pressure against the glass by maybe 75%, but still leave enough that the window cant rattle back and fourth.

Pretty sure I got mine from 1A Auto. Little tough going in in a couple of spots but can roll windows up easily.

Seem to be decent build

I look for Precision brand, seems to be the best out there at this time. Other than NOS GM

As far as sealing up the vehicle, I need some of the things that are on top of the tailgate on either side. I think this is what they look like new:

Anyone got any?

Or any of these to sell?
