So I'm going to keep the stock 56" rear springs for a while and when I do the shackle flip I'd like to go ahead and rebuild them

What all is needed?

I assume teflon pads between the leaves and new center-pins?

Anyone have the link to a write-up on spring rebuild?

I'm in the middle of doing my 56's I got from Throttleissues. Pretty straight forward. Tore the springs apart and I wire-wheeled them down to bare metal and put several coats of Zero Rust on them. I did remove 2 of the 7 leaves in the pack and am keeping the overload. Still think it may be too stiff but we'll see. Got new center pins, teflon pads and the little cross bolts that go on the mini shackles on the spring packs to keep them in line. Also, will be getting my poly bushings from ORD; 1.75" and 1.50" bushings. Than's about it.

Cool. Sounds pretty simple.

I've got the center-pins (zero rates),but where do you get the teflon pads?

and who makes "zero rust" ?

Well, I live about 15 minutes from Deaver Springs and bought them for about $.50 a pop. The Zero Rust was recommended buy a local auto paint supply store. I was looking for POR15. They didn't carry it in stock so he recommended the ZR. It can be rattle canned or sprayed or brushed on and comes in about 4-5 colors. Dries to a very hard finish and am very happy with it.
