I recently built my BB and it runs great, but it has a lot of valve noise especially under load. It's not that loud but enough to notice. It has a stock cam, comp cam pushrods, roller tip rockers. I checked around with a stethescope and I can here slight tapping at each cylinder via the headers. Is this normal? The cam was broken in properly using comp cam break in fluid 16-1800 rpm for 20 min.

If the valves are adjusted properly it is not uncommon for roller tip rockers to make some valve train noise.

x2 on the valve adjustment, mine was noisy when I fired it up, adjusted the valves and now its good to go with only a small exhaust leak tick I have to find still.

Double check your valve adjustment.

BBCs are notorious for rounding camshafts after a rebuild.
