So I had Bowtie Overdrives rebuild my 700R4 in 2007 or 2008. Since then my Suburban was driven a few times a year for 10 miles at the most. It sat for the last 2 years. I'm getting ready to pull the drive train out of the burb and either install the trans in my other burb or put it up for sale. Should I be worried about it sitting for so long and hardly being driven?

Two years, with some use in between,it should be fine...if it had sat idle and never been used it might have had a chance to get condensation in the fluid..
If the fluid isn't milky ,I wouldn't sweat it..

We sold quite a few "known good" automatic tranny's at the salvage yard that sat over 10 years and most worked OK,a few had water intrusion, and had some rust on the valve bodies, but after a few fluid changes and some use, they came back to life...the customers replaced the front pump seal and tailshaft seal before installing them..

No problem storing it that way either, you might want to check the vent tube to be sure no critters crawled in and nested, beyond that you should be good since this was all sealed otherwise.
