X3. Sorry buddy. Pretty sure your going to need to redo the front pump portion of the trans. with any luck, you might be ok. I guess you could always slide the new converter on therer and bolt it all back up and try again.

That pump and converter are done, you will need to pry or slide hammer these two apart then evaluate the carnage. Be careful prying around on the front of the case, they are pretty easy to break.

I would 'curb' your buddy in a split second if i were in your shoes but since you listened to him you were more at fault. Thats trans is done and good luck getting it covered under warranty
