I just had the transmisson in my truck done and i t seems fine at normal speeds. Goes into gear good. But I was doing 60mph and went to pass and it did not want to go. It did not want to downshift and did not. I had no issues with this truck hitting 85 fast and safe even with old transmission that was messed up. Idk I just dropped 2220.00 into it with 2 year 24000 mile warranty what could this be??

What transmission?
If its the 700R4, and your cable is out of adjustment, which they should have adjusted when they put it back in, you are very likely to burn it up very shortly.

There are instructions here to adjust it, but unless you absolutely have to drive it, I would take it back Monday and make them do it, so if it fails, you have a record that they screwed up.

Other transmissions are not as critical. The kickdown lever or cable just won't let it kickdown if its miss-adjusted or not hooked up.

Also, on the 350s, the vacuum modulator might not be hooked up, but I would expect engine problems if it was not due to the vacuum leak.

Its a 4l60e. Also when it hits 72 engine got sluggish then goes back to normal but it takes a long time form 60 to 75. Engine is fine and runs strong only has 105,000 on it.

take it back and get em to fix it. make sure you have a paper trail documenting troubles with the trans.

Well not sluggish but bogs down then back up its kinda hard to explain.

what year rig ?

whats it in ?

what 2wd or 4wd ?

who installed it ?

major tranny shop or billy bobs reman swap shop tranny shop ?

i have seen way to many socalled tranny shops in my day that havent got 1 fu*kin clue on what the hell there doin and screw the costomer when thay arnt lookin.

i have even seen used clutches go back with new :doah::doah::doah:

Its a 1994 K1500 4x4 with a 4L60e it has a Tbi 350. AWTI kent Ohio did the work

yep with full electric take it back and have them drive it with scanner plugged in and see whats not working or reading right.

its gona be bad soon if not.

Ok I will but how will they know what's wrong? They wont drive it 70. I HOPE I JUST DID NOT WASTE 2220.00 DOLLARS!

tell them the problems and ask to have a ride a long with the tech and scanner to drive it till it acts up with the way you drive it and he can watch the read outs on the scanner.

do it all the time if thay are good mechanic.

ok they went on a cruse with my truck with a scanner and found no problems.....i think something is up but idk im not a tranny guy. but idk why its seems so slow now.

My transmission seems to be shifting fine now. Its shifts with authority now but it seems when I let off the gas I get like a thunk from transmission or drive line but all drive line new...is this normal?
