Receiver mount snowplow?

^^^^ I looooooove that idea, but it would cost more than my K5 is worth...

"SnowVac 84" from $14,000.00 - SnowVac Jr 66" from $10,500.00"

I've been seeing fully functional K20 plow trucks pop up here in Colorado on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplacr for around $2,500. Probe enough wiggle room to get down to $1,850 or so.

Why can't you leave the truck up in the parking lot? That would cut out quite a bit of time and fuel cost.

1ton is not a 1ton its a large hub dana 44 .

and the 2500 drw flatbed is and should be a 1ton . and pic for pic my choice .

That is what i will do.
But the lodge is 3 miles away over the snow.
So i have to ride my snowmobile down to the lot.
We are a snowbound lodge, by design, from Dec1 through May 30.

I will have to fly from Sheridan to Denver though.
Co workers have to tend the lodge in my absence.
No prob.
That is how i bought my m1009.
Sight unseen off ebay.
Flew to Portland, cash in parking lot, drove back to Wyoming fixing stuff on the way.
Fun actually.

I'm a little confused. Is the parking lot private? Why the heck would they go to all the trouble to clear a road and not clear the parking lot if that is the intended destination? I only know a little about business ;) but a $5k contract given the circumstances sounds like charity work to me.

Something doesn't add up here and based on your story it almost sounds like there's some politics at play here. Do you have a State or County rep the lodge owner could contact regarding this issue?

Agree, this sounds like the lodge owners concern. Seems like you want to make it happen, but if your low pay includes snow removal, then the lodge owner needs to provide you the equipment to do that job. Be careful putting your hard earned money toward lodge profits.

It is a Wyoming situation.
The state plows to the bottom of the mountain.
The FAA plows from the bottom, up to their garage, and then up to the hard closure of the highway.
The FAA plows because they have a radar facility and need access.
The only reason they plow beyond their garage, and up to the parking lot, is because locals would block their driveway with trucks and snowmobile trailers all winter.
They refuse to plow the lot itself because they claim to have hit debris in the past under snow.
It is a gravel lot so they wont use the blower either.
Being a gravel lot, the state is not required to maintain it either.
But the lot was built with the express purpose of snowmobile and winter rec use.
It is a bizarre situation.
To make it more so.. the state trails already pays a snow groomer to groom snowmobile trail to that lot.
He could easily plow out the lot with the blade of his snowcat.
The state trails has and would pay money for him to do so.
But he doesn't like getting out of the cat and unhitching the grooming drag.

Yes, this is my life.

That dually is on Facebook marketplace, if you can't find it on there let me know and I'll try to grab the guys phone number for you.

I dont have a facebook account.
But my co worker does.
It is the one we use for the lodge.

Fb market place.
Just looking at it now.
Who knew?!
Well, guess everyone but me.
Thanks!
I find so many deals on there, its ridiculous.

I've always used craigslist and a buddy told me about marketplace and I was like nah, sounds stupid. Low and behold I probably have gotten more parts off of there in the past year than I ever have on craigslist over the past 6 years or so.

I shot the guy a message any way. Hopefully he responds and I'll send his # to you.
