6061 aluminum is pretty strong but there is no way I would trust that reciever shackle mount.The only way that thing would last is if you pulled perfectly straight with it every time,in the real world that is not possible.A few good side pulls on that and the tab that the clevis is bolted to is comming off.Its not a matter of if it will,its when.

Would tend to agree- In terms of angular pulls (off center), any distance away from the hitch increases its stress. The closer to the center of the hitch, the better off you are.
