I'm constantly looking for deals on quality tools. Every once in a while, I'll stumble across the "deal of the century" and it reminds me that they're out there if you're patient and just look for them.

Anyway, I thought it'd be neat to have a thread (since I don't know of one that's already started) of all the good tool deals out there that people find.

I'll start it out...Picked up all these new USA taps and dies on evilbay for $100 shipped. That's just over a dollar a piece.

I don't have any pictures of them but I'll play.

Cornwell 7/16 to 3/4 chrome stubby wrenches, pawn shop buy for $32 and a retail of about $120
Matco crowsfoot set on a sliding rail not a blow molded box, 1/2 inch to 1 inch $28 bucks in a pawn shop retail was $175
Cornwell chrome metric stubby wrenches 10mm to 19mm off ebay from a dealer going out of business for $62 I think retail was $135ish at the time

Also in there is an IR 2115 impact, a Snap-on screwdriver set, and some other things I don't remember at the moment. Ebay and pawn shops have added to my tool box greatly. The kids at work think it's to much work to check ebay or go pawn shopping so they buy off the truck. :dunno: They don't have kids or rent or a mortgage yet so the money is easy...

I also should say that every one of my tool guys know I buy off ebay and pawn shops. I told them I have a formula for how I buy. If the pawnshop/ebay is 60% or cheaper than the truck it goes to ebay or the pawn shop. Over that 60% I buy off the truck to help keep the dealer in business. I don't ask for special deals or discounts to try and price shop them either. The result is every once in a while I get an unasked for deal or discount.
