Hello, I just purchased a 77 K5 blazer, it is equipped with a 350 cu inch engine, a SM 420 or 465 tranny I am not sure, a dana 44 front with warn hubs and a Corporate 12 bolt rear, and a NP 203 t-case. I believe this Blazer started life has a automatic and was later swapped to a standard. How can I tell which tranny I have?
The gas tank is leaking what is a good source for replacement gas tanks?
I only paid 500 dollars for the truck which has brand new 35 inch Mud Kings, a Lock Right locker new never installed, and a Hidden Hitch tow bar.
Feed me info.

WOW, that sounds like a great deal! Dont know much about manuel tranny's, but J.C.Whitney sells stock gas tanks. Im not sure what your plans are, but I am going to put an aftermarket fuel cell on mine to raise the departure angle on the rear.

Reverse on the SM420 is down and to the left. On a 465, is is down and to the right.

Jeeze...was worth it just for the tires, locker, and hitch alone! So really you got a free truck! Very cool...

where is the gas leaking from? this is probably your foremost problem dont throw that blunt out the window while driving. seriously find that leak and fast. just check the hoses around the filler and tank mabey its that easy. check the gas lines under the truck also. good luck

blaze on!!!!!

Yea, I just went thru the 21 yr old gas lines on mine. Seemed like the thing to do. But I think that I beat you all on good deals. Got my '79 running/driving/with current stickers. Traded it for the '81 LWB pickup that I completely destroyed and had sitting in my yard for 2 or 3 yrs. The guy let me keep the motor in the '81 too. He was sick of BLAZERS, CAN YOU BELEIVE THAT?
