we sure have had an influx of h1 centering threads lately.
You have to cut the centers out, get new centers, line them up on the nubs on the inside of the wheel. Tack them up and adjust to true them up, then burn them in criss cross to avoid warpage.
Thanks. I just saw two other threads. I guess I should have looked first (good thing you guys are so nice and didn't flame me like that other site would have).
Which run flats do you have? 2 piece rubber or 2 piece bolt together?
I ask because the rubber ones are a pain to get out and just about impossible to get back in again. I really like the bolt together ones. However, if the tire ever goes flat. Both styles will tear up the tire so bad you might as well buy a new one.
Cutting the bolt together style down to use as a bead lock would be my suggestion if you are going to be airing down that much. Otherwise, leave them off all together.
I ran some 8 stud rims with 36" bias tires on my 101 trailer and it bounced like crazy. I switched over to 12 stud rims and 37" radials and the same thing. The trailer felt "heavy" with both sets of tires. I went back to the stock 101 rims and can't even tell the trailer is there anymore.
I have not seen them yet. I don't know if they are rubber or mag run flats, nor do I know if they are 8 or 12 bolt. I should be picking them up next week and will go from there. I am thinking about ordering the PVC inserts and getting rid of the run flats (it already gets bad enough fuel mileage without the extra weight).
