I am slowly working on my k5. The front seats both have broken reclining mechanisms and are pretty trashed. I would like a set of very comfortable seats but want to retain the ability to recline and tilt forward for back seat access. I can fabricate brackets. I really like my 97 and 01 yukon seats. (I have a set of 07 power yukon seats but I can't get enough rear seat access easily. Might mount one in my camper and one in my box stand for hunting!)

I can't find anywhere local to try seats yet. I would really like to have a headrest and low bolsters.
I would like to see pics and to hear feedback on:

Corbeau. Moab? Trailcat?
Mastercraft?
Pro car?
PRP?
TMI?
E36 coupe seats?
Camaro?

Thanks!

So i found a nice set of front seats from a 99 yukon today. They recline completely flat and incline sufficiently for passenger access! Power as well and the motors all work. Oh, and FREE!
Still like the looks of the Trailcats and plan to check them out for another project, but moving on on the k5 for now.

I did second row seats from a pre stow and go town and country. They lay flat, fold forward flat, and I’m sure you can rig the factory bracket to the k5...it already has the ability to tumble forward...two armrests too! Second row equals not too worn. They are decently comfy. Picked them up at a JY on $15 seat day. I changed them out for cloth seats that better match the interior, but these pics should help get the idea...

I'll look into those. I am nearly finished with engine work in my samurai and they are supposed to work well in those also.
Thanks!

A lot of the 00's-10's GM SUV seats are really big. You can't reach behind your seat to grab something and if you don't make them flip/slide, you reduce the back seat access, which is already one of the downsides of a 2-door. For example, I like to set a toolbox behind the front seat. That's why I went with '90 K5 seats. They're quite slim, the back is convertible-friendly vinyl, they recline (this was my wife's constant complaint about the mid-80's high-backs) and they have the quick slide-forward feature to get them as out of the way as possible. Just getting hard to find!

I have a set of Corbeau Baja RS. They are extremely comfortable, thin, and recline/slide forward. My driver side has the air lumbar and seat heater. They match style of the older K5 seats the best too.

I put a set out of a 00 chev . All electric with heated seats and have seat belts integrated. They are the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in. I had to mount them on sliders for access to back.

Thanks for the replies! I am working on a mounting base for the seats I found, but still looking into other options as well. I did like the styling of the corbeaus and hope to find a set that I can sit in soon.
