so after the play day today at the local club my worn out strap got sent to its muddy grave.

R.I.P old girl. . . . . . .

well its time for a new one. i was going to give my money to a ck5 vendor but four_by_ken is not a paid vendor here and also not online since 7-1-11 and his web site i saved is not there anymore.

so i used to have a 3" wide explorer procomp. i can still get but was lookin for a site vendor or good us vendor other than china stuff .

who has what thats 30k or more and ends wraped with leather and fits in 2" reciver hole.

I'll get some pics up of the carnage... it's still in the back of my truck, dang thing grenaded but no one was hurt.

Thanks for letting me use it, sorry for blowing it up...

We decided to buy some quality straps after we broke 3 in one night tring to get me and someone else out at our local hangout. We went with Rockford Rigging. I believe we got 3" 4ply? ill have to check $180 per strap... Guy guaranteed we wouldn't ever brake em doing what we were doing....

I've been using the double braided ropes since about '89 much better than straps in my opinion.

I see the bubba ropes online but they seem pretty pricey... are there other brands that I should be looking at?

i always had luck with my 3"x33' keeper, think it was rated at 28k... that was a long time and 4 trucks ago, right now i just have a sling... if it won't work for me to pull you out, call a tow truck

i used to buy and sell (i know im not a vendor)... the straps that they use to drop crates out of the back of military planes/helis

i got 4 left in my garage.. they are 1.75" and fit in a receiver.... are 35' long, have some give to them and during googling of part numbers found them to be rated at about 48k.....

since the place i used to go get them from no longer has them.. i have been keeping these in my garage...

so something for you to look for... got any local military surplus places by you? this place was in delaware...

you can see one of them on my front bumper...
