If you got a used qjet go buy a rebuild kit for it. Its not really that hard. Remove jets in you original carb and use those is what I would do. Good luck /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif

I agree with fatboy. When I put mine together it did the same thing and I rejeted it with fatter jets (richened it). Glowing headers or exhaust manifolds are not good for the wiring inside the engine compartment. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
