Red interior poll

I see a lot of K5's especially around 1984-1991 with red interior and was wondering how many peeps like red interior?

generally not a fan of blue, red, or white on interiors.. black, gray or tan...

coming from the guy driving around in a fUrd these days with the porno red interior...

Just depends. Sometimes it looks great, sometimes, not so much…

My issue with red, even though I like it, does not handle age well. If a truck has been garaged and kept nice the red doesn’t fade.

But around Colorado the higher Uv exposure causes the red plastic parts to bleach out or turn purple.

Mine is the amazing carmine red. Honesty, I don't like it but..... I'm not spending $$ to change it. The truck had no carpet when I bought it but I found this used C10 carpet to lay in there and that dash carpet to cover the cracks.

Eventually I'll change it to black...

I sprayed my door panels with rattle can because of the fading.

you could do door panels, dash and plastics in a weekend with less than $50 in SEM colorcoat...

I did it to my 92... it was gray..

SEM has products you can use on carpet too.

no carpet on those 92's.... SEM and others have the dye, but I've actually had decent results with standard RIT dyes from the supermarket in the past on fabric/carpets.........

I don't mind red interiors. Both of the K-5s I've owned were red on red.

My '76 Suburban Scottsdale was painted grey and red with the red interior. The seats were an almost plaid material with chrome buckles on the seat backs.
I thought it was pretty cool.

This Suburban I'm eyeballing has a nice looking red interior aside from the pattern on the front seat covers. Hopefully the seats underneath look like the rest. (stock)
I'm usually don't care what color the interior is, but this one is complete and it looks sharp.
