Red or Blue

I'm getting ready to paint my truck with Morton Bed Liner. I still can't decide on a color! The truck is/was Catalina blue, kind of like the background on this page.

If I go red, which I already bought I have a whole lot of work to do on the inside. Dash, molding, etc. A red example would be ElkBoy's new Herculiner job.

The blue they have is dark blue, it is the same color Extreme Blazer has. It is not bad, just a little to dark for my preference. I may be able to lighten it by not putting as much colorant into the mix.

Anyway. Red or Blue?

Is your interior in good shape right now? Red does attract more cops. BUT there's a lot of blue blazers around. Hard choice.

Blue! and then send pics, I was thinking of going with blue but I want to see what it looks like . Elkboys was cool I just don't like red...

I'd go with blue....out of the interior work would not be something I would want to do. Stuff always looks darker too in the can until it's put on a large area. I bet it'd look good and save you work. Like Lara said red attracks cops. Of course I can't talk...I have a camo Blazer and get pulled over all the time.....

Camo sounds cool too, I thought about doing the outside of my blazer camo but with hurculiner. I just don't know how I'd do it...

Thanks for the info. I have been thinking the same thing as all of you. The interior is shot and everything needs to be replaced.

It is blue now and I've never gotten pulled over but that may change with red.Hmmm. Then again I have a hard time even getting to the speed limit.

It sounds like blue is the leader. I have been pretty tenative about the red I bought.

Crap!! I still can't decide!! I would like blue but it has to be the right blue.

I am going to get all the old paint off....then I am gonna put liner on it...I decided the work will be worth it! I'm gonna do the camo in black, white and grey. I'll use a brush to put it on not a roller due to the curves of the camo and shapes. I used a brush on the inside in parts where space was tight. Just have to make the texture by taking the bristles and sticking it into the liner and pulling up....worked well. I'm going to buy durabak and go for it....can't find the orange for the general lee I wanted to do...oh well!

Well, I went with red because of a time limit and they didn't have enough blue colorant in stock right now. I started spraying it because I have to have it all done by Saturday.

Wow. It is red!! It reminds me of a craftsman toolbox. I hope it tones down a bit once I get everything bolted back on. I still have the bed floor and hood to spray.

Once it is all done and put back to gether I will try and post some pictures next week.
