Red X's

What is up with the red X's in place of the Pictures

I have added a few pics to some threads and they seem to show up for a few hours than turn into red X's why is this happening could anyone answer this for me and let me know how to fix it.

It depends on where you're linking them from. Webshots and quite a few others don't allow remote linking...

You may be able to see the pic if you recently viewed it, but the rest of us would always just see the red 'X'.

Best bet is to upload the pic into your gallery here, then hot link the pic from the gallery. Hell, you paid for the gallery, you might as well use it.

Well than you will have to step up and drop a few dimes to become a member, lay off the brew for a weekend and you should have enought to cover yourself.

Really? I thought you "freeloaders" ( ) could see them. I can link them on other forums for their users to see...

Here's a test pic from an annonymous users gallery, do you see it or a red x?

It's only when the pic is 'attached' rather than hotlinked that non members can't see them. I have logged out and viewed them as an anonymous user to confirm that...

yeah he's right, that one is visible. It's the attached ones that aren't visible.
