Redneck ram...1.5\" or 2\" ram

I'm ordering my hydraulic assist soon and was wondering what most guys on here are running. The truck doesn't see many rocks...but may someday. I don't spend much time on the road, but I do have to get to the trails.

Re: Redneck ram...1.5\" or 2\" ram

from what I understand 1.5" is more street friendly. It reacts quicker then the 2" ram does. 1.5" has less power then the 2" does I believe though

2" is slower but provides more power.

Yeah and I think they offer a 1.75" now so that may be more of a happy median.

Re: Redneck ram...1.5\" or 2\" ram

Thanks, that confirms what I've heard, but I wasn't aware of the 1.75" ram. Thats what I'll go with. Any other suggestions when doing this mod. (i'll be running crossover with no high steer.)

Re: Redneck ram...1.5\" or 2\" ram

i'm running a 1.5" with no issues other than it being a little on the slow side compared to non hydro assist. i wouldn't recommend over 1.5" on a street vehicle...i would think it would be way too slow.

I have a 2" on mine. I hope I never have to do any panic turns! It is pretty slow, I still need to do the pump mods though.
