who has the west texas redneck ram mounted where there stock steering stabilizer location? goin to buying on for my 1 ton k5 and wana know how it works for people. or if i should make a custom bracket?

you will want 2 tabs per mount hole for the ram. or this will snap off on a single tab mount like the stock dampaner bracket.

thats what i thought........what about connecting ram to where the stabilizer orignally connected to the tie rod. i got a factory one where it has a flatend section with a hole for the stabilizer?

I wouldn't use a factory tie rod with Hydro assist. Lot of stress on a part that wasn't designed for it.

Yeah ORD, SKY, NWF, Ballistic all the big fab companies sell beefy 1.5" .250 wall DOM tie rods.

Mine has supported the weight of my truck more than once :eek1:

sweet, k and 1.5'' tubing for the tie rod should be strong enough for a k5 with tires no bigger then 40's?

They don't get much bigger that 1.5" .250 wall. Thats some beefy material!
