My search-fu was fruitless. :o

Any pics/tips on drilling a new center pin hole 1.5" back on the passenger side of a D60? I don't want to lift it another inch to slip a zero rate/easy inch in there to move the axle forward. I'd use one of these on the driver's side.

I'm pretty sure you can go 1.25". Not sure if you can go a full 1.5" you may be dangerously close to the edge of the perch or on it.

If that's enough, we can make the other piece to match or you can drill that side as well.

I put mine back an inch just drilling both sides. I just measured and marked it out square, then just drilled it like any other piece of thick steal. I actually had to drill them twice cause I moved it an inch forward the first time:doah:

Yeah, looking at pics there isn't much room. 1" would be enough. I mostly wanted to make sure there weren't any voids in the casting that I might drill into. I don't want to pull the old "drill a tiny little hole and then your axle explodes into a giant fireball going down the street at a high rate of speed and you careen into a catholic school short bus filled with nuns and handicapped kids".

Yeah, something like that. It's a pretty meaty perch. Don't forget you'll need to drill the spring plates too.
